Essie and OPI are dominating the nail lacquer business right now, but we indeed have a new brand on our hands: pun intended. Even though I am currently wearing Essie’s “Raspberry” shade, I couldn’t help but be drawn to the amazing hues from brand Sheswai, particularly Fersure modeled above.
Debbie Leavitt is the brain behind the brand and as a true California girl, pedicures have always been of the utmost importance to her as exposed toes are practically a year-round occurrence. She worked for years at some of the best salons and spas in Los Angeles, but felt that she wanted to take her love for nail lacquer and beauty a step further. She joined The Cloutier Agency as one of the agency’s manicurists, giving her access to celebrities, fashion shoots and so much more. That exposure lead to her creation of Sheswai.
Sheswai blends beauty, classic shades and healthy living. The nail lacquers are totally free of toluene, formaldehyde and DBP and their ingredients are sourced in California, making the brand truly local. I also love the super cool, original bottles with their wands created from sustainably harvested wood from family owned tree farms.
Sheswai Nail Lacquer retails for $16. Visit www.sheswaibeauty.com to purchase and see more shades below.
